Nottingham Mental Health Awareness Weeks, October 9th - 21st 2011
Welcome!!!

Rosemary Renouf MBE, MHA ChairWelcome to the website of Nottingham’s unique Mental Health Awareness Weeks, now in its 20th anniversary year!

Mental health problems can affect us all. This annual programme of events aims to reduce stigma and promote greater understanding of mental health and wellbeing.

MHAW was started by a small group of service users and carers in 1993. Thanks to the enthusiastic support of many individuals and organisations, it has grown from one week to two, and become part of the local calendar - timed to include World Mental Health Day, October 10th.

Last year’s MHAW programme (2011 - see below) was as lively and diverse as ever. The 2012 programme will be posted early September.

So, as our logo says, ‘Take Time 4 Your Mind’ and perhaps with others, think how your workplace or organisation could get involved. Keep in touch!
